Summer: Our Trip to So Cal

I can’t believe that it’s already summer break!

I always say that I won’t neglect my blog, but having two internships and a job, on top of an E board position with ADPi doesn’t leave me too much time! My goal is to keep updating all summer! And I have plenty of adventures to talk about!

Last week I got back from my trip to Southern California, I spent two weeks exploring with one of my best friends!

We packed up a few days after our semesters ended and we were off!

Our first stop was Pasadena with my mom to visit my aunt! Her house is so amazing and I love the city of Pasadena it really feels like home.

Feelin’ Formal

This week has been so crazy and fun! I can’t believe that spring break is only 5 days away!

We had our formal last night, it was so much fun! I know that formal season and prom are coming up soon for everyone! It’s such a great time of year.

I love that everyone looks so pretty and all dressed up! We were all saying that picking a prom dress takes forever (finding mine did take forever) but getting a dress for formal happens the week before! Its crazy what a few years can do.

This year I decided to pick a dress style that I normally wouldn’t! I ordered the dress from LuLu’s. I loved the high neck with look with a long necklace. It felt great to rock a look I normally wouldn’t!IMG_5412 (1)

Fit for Break!

I have been working on my new years goals to keep up at the gym and stay active! We all know that it can be tough to stay motivated and go to the gym! So I just wanted to share what I have been up to, so I can be my spring break skinny!

My goals is to lose 8lbs in 20 days! Where am I going for break? You’ll figure that out this week too!

We can all feel this way…IMG_3010

Happy Galentines Day to all of my single ladies!

Today is a great day to treat ourselves! I know I have so far. Its -2 at my house and I made myself and amazing breakfast, cozied up with a book, and have been pinning away!

And of course there is nothing wrong with going to buy all of the half priced candy for ourselves tomorrow either! I am so excited for that.

Reblog: Seriously, Go Abroad With your Mom!

I am so excited to share this post I wrote  with all of you! I hope you enjoy! If you want to learn more about Select Study Abroad click here!

Seriously, Go Abroad With Your Mom!

In honor of our Mother & Daughter Trip this spring, we asked Alexa if she would tell us (and you!) what it meant for her to travel in Italy with her mom this past summer. Needless to say, I think she captured it. Now just imagine having your mom AND your sisters by your side. Yep. We know. (Interested? Learn more here.)
mother_daughterWhen I went abroad for my first time this summer I was so exited to finally satisfy my wanderlust. I could not wait to let my inner foodie come out and adventure through Italy with sisters. Being abroad was amazing and I felt more independent than I’d ever felt. But there was something missing about the trip that I couldn’t figure it out. It wasn’t the lack of amazing food or great memories I made with new friends, but I felt like I wanted to share this time with my mom. Continue reading

Twas the Night Before Christmas

I can’t believe that Christmas is already a few days behind us! There are so many things that I love about the Christmas season, and the winter seems to fly by in December.

I love that everyone comes together around the holidays. We love having our annual christmas party, I get to catch up with so many people. We made appetizers and I made and amazing punch off of Pinterest. The house was full and by the end of the day we were out of drinks and food! My Buffalo chicken balls were a huge success, I made them again for Christmas Eve. All of my recipes are on my Pinterest Board!

My 5 Foods of Fall

I love fall. But what do I love more?

Warm, delicious, unimaginable fall food.

In the summer you can’t enjoy warm comfort foods, it just isn’t right. But when you throw on a sweater and go to Starbucks to grab your PSL then you know it is time to start enjoying all things fall. And no, I don’t just enjoy everything pumpkin related. There are so many other yummy things to eat!

These are my top 5 foods that I indulged on in the past few weeks!

  1. Carmel apple cider. I can’t always go for a coffee, sometimes the best pick me up is just a warm drink! Our coffee shop near campus is to die for. I think I crave this every day. And it does not help that my internship is right down the street!

Feelin’ Fall

Hi everyone! I know I know, I have been MIA for awhile, and I am so mad that I haven’t had time to blog! There has just been too much going on, but I want to share all of the amazing things with you!

This weekend I was able to go hiking and apple picking. Two major things that should be on every New Englanders list for fall activities!  We have a great mountain right across the street from my campus (which makes us have a perfectly picturesque campus in the fall) and it has amazing views.

IMG_2247-1Apple picking in CT is crazy. There are orchards in almost every town, making it impossible to go just once! So far I have made it to just 2 local orchards, my goal is 5 by the end of the month!

I have also been addicted to fall coffee flavors, but I also love a local coffee shops’ caramel apple cider! It is the best thing to drink on a fall day, and yes it beats PSLs!! There is nothing like a local coffee shop, and it is even better when they know you by name.

And of course I need to go pumpkin picking! That is on the list for next week!

So tell me what you’ve been up to this fall! I have missed everyone and their amazing blogs!
